Spare your skin with the new perfumed body ink pen

Sometimes the best creations are those that you didn’t even know you needed, am I right? When I first heard about the new Live Out Loud Body Ink Pen, I could instantly tell they were onto something. This game-changer is launching on Oct 2nd, 2019.

Perfume pens are a hot new trend these days, but they are normally designed with no pigment. Talk about a missed opportunity! Until now, that is.

The advertised description of this product declares:

This limited-edition, super-cool pen lets you draw on your inspiration (literally!) to create a scented design. It’s a whole new way to fragrance.

I remember the days when drawing on my own skin was the ultimate boredom cure. The only problem? The best markers (like Sharpies) contain toxic chemicals such as n-butanol, cresol, diacetone alcohol, and sometimes even xylene. That’s why I love the idea of this body ink pen as a safe alternative for skin doodles and temporary tattoos – and an option that smells amazing at the same time!

The perfume in this pen has notes of sweet wild strawberry, sparkling mimosa, and fluffy vanilla. Yum!

The ink also washes off easily with soap and water.

Let’s take a quick look at the ingredients:

Water/Eau ~ this one is self-explanatory!

Glycerin ~ a common ingredient in cosmetics that helps make the skin smooth and moisturized

Butylene Glycol ~ a common solvent that also helps condition the skin and provide moisture

Styrene/Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer ~ a film-forming agent that is safe when used in moderation

Fragrance/Parfum ~ AKA the scent! Any perfume or body spray will list this as an ingredient.

Pvp ~ this helps create the texture/consistency of the product

Oleth-20 ~ a safe ingredient that helps the other ingredients mix together

Phenoxyethanol ~ a preservative that is safe in low concentrations

Caprylyl Glycol ~ a safe ingredient used for skin conditioning

Sodium Laureth-12 Sulfate ~ a very common surfactant ingredient

Dehydroacetic Acid ~ another preservative

Ammonium Hydroxide ~ this ingredient helps balance the pH

Black 2 ~ this gives the product it’s black color

So as you can see, this product is non-toxic and may even make your skin a little bit softer. Tell your mom to rest easy!
