As my skins starts to get older, I admit I spend more and more time thinking about sunscreen, sunglasses, and anything else I can do to protect my body parts from the effects of the sun. That’s why I was very intrigued when I saw that Avon was releasing a lip product with SPF. After all, folks very rarely think about those smaller areas like their lips when they apply sunscreen – even though our lips are just as vulnerable to harmful rays as the rest of our face!
So what’s the deal with this SPF lip gloss? I knew I had to try it out for myself to give you the scoop. Let’s take a look!
What is Cashmere Lip Glaze?
fmg Cashmere Lip Glaze SPF 30 is a vegan lip gloss product by Avon launching on July 1, 2026. It advertises a high shine finish as well as SPF protection.
This lip gloss is formulated with ingredients to hydrate and condition the lips, and also has a slight tint of color. At the moment, it’s available in 1 shade called Halo Pink. It is advertised as paraben-free, talc-free, and sulfate-free.
What makes it different?
This lip product is simple in concept, and what sets it apart is mainly just the sun protection. Avon has no shortage of nourishing lip balms, but at the moment Cashmere Lip Glaze is the only option with SPF 30.
Although I would consider it a lip gloss based on the description, the finish in real life is closer to a lip balm, with a neutral level of shine and a subtle touch of color. After trying it out I was impressed with the nourishing feel of the product, and the way it makes an excellent base for other lip color.
