I know for me, sometimes I’m just looking for that goldilocks lip color that sits perfectly between casual and glamorous. That’s why I was intrigued when I saw that Avon was launching yet another nourishing lip product with a glossy finish. I had to know what this lip gloss serum was all about, and where it fits into the larger collection of lip products in the catalog.
So what’s the deal? I got my hands on all 3 shades to give you the scoop. Let’s take a look!
What is the Peptide Lip Gloss Serum?
GO. by Glimmer Peptide Lip Gloss Serum is a moisturizing lip gloss product by Avon that launched on July 15, 2026. It is designed with an ultra-glossy finish and a sheer hint of color.
This gloss is formulated with several nourishing ingredients including glycerin, vitamin E, provitamin B5, and a peptide complex. It is also scented, with each shade having it’s own delicious scent. It is paraben-free, talc-free, sulfate-free, and pthalate-free.
What makes it different?
So, what makes this gloss different from the other Avon lip glosses in the catalog? When it comes to lip products that have a sheer color payoff and a glossy finish, the most similar product currently is the Love Plush Lip Oil. The main difference is the finish, as two of the three shades in Love Plush are shimmer finish. In addition, the shade range, while small for both products, is a bit more varied in the Peptide Lip Gloss Serum, featuring a red option in addition to a pink and a muted mauve.
In contrast to Avon’s other current lip gloss, this lip gloss serum has a much more sheer color payoff, as it’s designed to only have a hint of color, while Glimmer Lip Gloss is medium to full coverage.
On paper, one might think that the Cashmere Lip Glaze is also similar. However, in reality, the finish of this product is much more neutral and not very glossy, so it’s best to think of that product more like a satin lip balm or a sunscreen lip primer in comparison.
