When I saw that Avon was coming out with a new waterproof eyeshadow product, I was excited to see what the formula and shades are all about. Being a long-time fan of the Glimmershadow Liquid Eyeshadow, I’m a huge fan of anything that will hold up against the elements.
So what’s the skinny? I ordered all 6 shades to find out and give you the scoop. Let’s take a look!
What is Glimmer Primer Infused Eyeshadow Stick?
Glimmer Primer Infused Eyeshadow Stick is a vegan, waterproof eyeshadow stick by Avon launching on July 1, 2026.
The formula is primer-infused and features buildable coverage with a creamy consistency. It’s advertised to stay on for up to 24 hours, and is suitable for sensitive eyes. It comes in a mixture of matte and shimmer finishes.
What makes it different?
So what sets this new eyeshadow apart in the Avon catalog?
Just like Glimmershadow, it holds up well against water. However, Glimmer Primer Infused Eyeshadow Stick takes the claim even further, as it’s waterproof instead of simply water resistant. In addition, it has a specific 24-hour claim for wear time, compared to Glimmershadow’s less specific “all day” wear.
Other key features that set this eyeshadow stick apart are the fact that it is fragrance-free and ophthalmologist-tested. It is advertised as being hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive eyes.
As far as the finish, the shimmer finish is similar to some of our existing shadows. However, half of the shades are matte, a finish for which there are much fewer shade options across Avon’s different shadows. In addition, this new eyeshadow stick is less pigmented in comparison to Glimmershadow, allowing for more subtle and casual eye looks, but requiring more layers to achieve full coverage.

Glimmer Primer Infused Eyeshadow Stick is available in 6 shades including Mother of Pearl, Maple Mocha, Saddle Brown, Tidal Wave, Lavender Haze, and Pink Opal.
