What’s the difference?: Comparing all 5 avon eyebrow products
One of the most frequently asked questions I get as an Avon rep is about eyebrow makeup. With so many different Avon eyebrow products in the catalog, people want to know: “How do I know which eyebrow definer is right for me? What’s the difference between them?“
If you’re one of those people wondering, you’ve come to the right place! I created this handy guide for you to break down the similarities and differences between Avon’s current eyebrow makeup products to help you choose with confidence. Let’s jump in!
UPDATE 5/23/22: This article has been edited to reflect the discontinuation of the Glimmersticks Brow Definer, Tattoo Station Proof Brow Pomade, and Tattoo Station Proof Brow Pencil. Avon’s newer eyebrow products were also added to the article.
#1 Hi-Brow Sculpting Gel
TYPE: gel
BEST FOR: natural brows
COVERAGE: natural to full
RANGE: 4 shades + clear option
PRICE RANK: 2nd lowest price
Hi-Brow Sculpting Gel is best for folks who are looking for a truly natural-looking eyebrow look. Since I like to rock my natural brows, this one is my personal favorite.
The best way to think of Hi-Brow is that it’s sort of like a mascara for the eyebrows. It doesn’t fill in the brows – but rather it holds and defines your already existing hairs. It keeps the hairs from sticking up or becoming disheveled, while at the same adding a small amount of pigment for definition.
The fmg Cashmere 24 Hour Brow Pomade is a pomade product designed with quality and luxury in mind. It’s best for folks who want a bold and well-defined brow look.
It’s similar in purpose to the discontinued Tattoo Station Proof Pomade, which has been in the Avon catalog a bit longer. Both have a dual ended applicator. This newer pomade offers a weightless feel and a matte finish that is both smudge-proof and sweat-proof. Generally speaking, products with a specific wear time listed require additional clinical testing to back up the claim. So for those who want your eyebrow makeup to really stay put all day, “24 hours” is preferable over “long-lasting”.
BEST FOR: a natural-looking finish with fine, hair-like strokes
COVERAGE: natural
RANGE: 6 shades
PRICE RANK: lowest price
The fmg Glimmer Brow Definer directly replaced Avon’s True Color Glimmersticks Brow Definer back in the fall of 2021.
This upgraded formula is peferct for folks who loved Glimmersticks, as well as anyone looking for a great cream-based pencil. It’s also infused with nourishing oils including coconut oil and castor oil, to help your brows feel soft and smooth.
The TPSY Brows on Fleek Dual Eyebrow Definer is a dual-ended brow product with a pencil on one end and a gel on the other. This eyebrow definer is great for folks who want easy application while they shape, fill, and set the brows.
The triangle edge is highly convenient for shaping, while the other end has a spoolie to help put the finishing touches on your brow look.
The VDL Eye Fine Double Edge Brow Pencil is another dual-ended brow product featuring a pencil and gel. Unlike TPSY, however, the pencil end features a wax-to-powder formula with a flat cut edge.
This brow definer is great for folks who want a precise yet blend-able brow look that appears natural.
