Having you been searching for glowy primer that really smooths out your makeup look? When I saw that this new Avon tinted primer was coming out, I was initially a bit confused, as I wasn’t sure how it differed from Match Tint.
When I looked closer, however, I was very intrigued by the concept, and knew I had to try it out for myself. Before I show you my results, let’s get a little bit of background info about the product:
What is Match Airbrush Retouch Tinted Primer?
LAUNCH DATE: Sept 11, 2024
fmg Match Airbrush Retouch Tinted Primer is a face primer product with a tint of color. It is designed to even out your skin tone in advance of foundation, but can also be worn on top of foundation as a highlighter, or on its own for a no-makeup makeup look.
This primer has a dewy, pearly finish, as well as added skincare ingredients including ferulic acid, panthenol, and niacinamide. It is fragrance-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, and talc-free.

Why choose a tinted primer?
You might be asking yourself: “Why would I use a tinted primer when my foundation already has a color?”.
Well, the idea behind a tinted primer is that in addition to blurring imperfections, it also evens out your skin tone to create a smooth look before you apply your foundation. This is very useful if different parts of your face are slightly different tones, and you don’t feel that targeted color-correcting is for you.
Shades
The Match Airbrush Retouch Tinted Primer is available in 4 shades including fair light, light medium, medium deep, and tan deep.

What happened when I tried it out?
Overall, this tinted primer provided a good base for my foundation. You’ll see that in the video I mention that I found the even-ing effects subtle, however, another household member disagreed and thought the difference was very noticeable (I only put the primer on half of my face). She said that the left half of my face just looked a lot smoother!
When used as a primer, the dewiness of the finish is understated, but makes the skin look brighter and more vibrant. I also enjoy how it looks as a barely-there highlight for days when a regular highlighter feels too glam.
