Have you been mourning the loss of Glimmer Lip Plumper? Ever since this product was discontinued, folks have been looking for other ways to make their lips look nice and full. That’s why I was so stoked to see that a new Avon lip plumping lip balm is coming out this fall.
Not only that, but this lip balm comes in a variety of options including tinted shades and colorless balms. Luckily for you, I tried and demo-ed them all. Let’s dive in and get the full scoop!
What is Beyond Glow Lipcerin?
Beyond Glow Lipcerin Hydrating Tinted Lip Care is a tinted lip balm product by Avon launching on Oct 9, 2024, alongside the colorless Beyond Glow Lipcerin Intensive Nourishing Lip Care, and the Beyond Glow Lipcerin Plump & Cool Lip Care.
Part of the popular Beyond Glow skincare line, Lipcerin contains nourishing ingredients such as glycerin and shea butter, as well as peptides for plumping. It features a softly glossy “glistening” finish.
What makes it different?
You might be asking yourself: Why would I buy this lip care product when there are so many different lip balms in the catalog?
One thing that makes it different from other Avon lip balms and chapsticks is the plumping benefits. Since the discontinuation of the Glimmer Lip Plumper, the Avon catalog has been in need of a good plumping product.
Beyond Glow Lipcerin also features glycerin, which is an effective ingredient for hydration, as well as nourishing shea butter.
Shades
Beyond Glow Lipcerin is available in 6 different shades including twinkle, flash, splendor, gleam, flare, and smolder, as well as two shade-less varieties “Plump and Cool” and “Intensive Nourishing”.
What happened when I tried it out?
As you can see in the video, the shades of this lip balm are pretty subtle, and in some cases extremely sheer. The main thing you can see visually is the glossy finish, which catches the light nicely.
The primary strength of Beyond Glow is the nourishing lip care aspects, which I was impressed with. The plumping is slight, but in a good way that makes it look very natural. The lips simply look smooth and filled out to their natural maximum.
The only thing about the lighter, very sheer shades is that I find they bring out the natural darkness and discolorations of my lips. For some reason, it just makes the purple edges of my lips look more pronounced. In think in this respect, people’s lips may react differently to the formula. I did not have this problem with the slightly more pigmented shades, especially the purple ones which are more similar to my natural lip color.
Well, there you have it! That’s the full scoop on Avon’s new plumping tinted lip balm. What do you think? Is this something you would use on your lips? Let us know in the comments!
