Have you been missing the Avon lip glosses that have come and gone? I know I have! If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you know that I was a loyal user of both the Crave Lip Gloss and later the Glimmer Lip Glaze, which have since been discontinued. That’s why I was incredibly excited to test out Avon’s newest gloss, here just in time to start off 2025 with a bang. Or at least, that’s what I was hoping for when I added to cart.
So, what’s the deal with Glimmer Lip Gloss? I got my hands on all 8 shades so I could give you the scoop. Let’s jump in!
What is Glimmer Lip Gloss?
Glimmer Lip Gloss is a high-shine lip gloss product by Avon launching on Jan 28th, 2026. It offers medium to full coverage, and comes in a mixture of cream and shimmer finishes.
Formulated with jojoba seed oil and vitamin E, this gloss is also meant to make your lips feel hydrated while you wear it.
What makes it different?
So what sets this lip gloss apart within the Avon catalog? Technically speaking, Glimmer Lip Gloss is the only lip gloss in the catalog at the moment that is pigmented, although there are a few other options that have a similar shiny finish. The other lip gloss in the catalog, of course, is the Starlight Finishing Gloss, which is clear with a shimmer finish, and useful for layering over other lip color.
GO. by Glimmer Lacquered Lip Gel is the most similar, but has a thicker, gel-like texture. One major difference is a few of the shades in Glimmer Lip Gloss have a shimmer finish, and only some of the shades have a cream finish.
In comparison to another similar product, the Love Plush Lip Oil, this new lip gloss has similar nourishing benefits with jojoba seed oil and vitamin E, resulting in a similar feel on the lips. In addition, some of the lighter shimmer shades are similar in appearance. However, Glimmer Lip Gloss has a much wider shade range, with many of the shades having a more pigmented color payoff.

Glimmer Lip Gloss is available in 8 shades including Stardust, Copperlight, Bronzeberry, Sugar Sweet, Cha Cha Cha, Buttered Rum, Mauve It!, and Siren.
