When I saw the news that my favorite Cashmere 24 Hour Liquid Foundation was going to be discontinued, I admit I was very sad to see it go. It’s been a staple in my makeup routine for over 5 years now.
Luckily, Avon is already releasing their replacement – a liquid foundation with similar features but a slightly different finish. So what’s the scoop? I tested it out to so I could see how it compares.
What is Cashmere Soft Focus Foundation?
The fmg Cashmere Soft Focus Foundation is a vegan liquid foundation by Avon launching on August 27th, 2025. It offers medium to full coverage with a natural satin finish, and a 24 hour wear time.
The formula is advertised to blur pores, wrinkles, and fine lines, while camouflaging imperfections and redness on the face.
What makes it different from Avon's other foundations?
At first glance, this new foundation might seem awfully similar to Avon’s previous liquid foundation – the Cashmere 24 Hour Liquid Foundation. However, there are some key differences.
First of all, Cashmere Soft Focus offers a more satin finish, while Cashmere 24 Hour has a matte finish. While both foundations offer 24 hours of wear, they have different formulas with different key ingredients for skin nourishment. The old Cashmere 24 Hour utilizes botanical extracts, while the newer Cashmere Soft Focus has other skincare ingredients including niacinimide, centella asiatica, ceramides, and glycerin. It also contains silica powders, which help with oil control on the face.

fmg Cashmere Soft Focus Foundation is available in a wide range of 24 different shades. I got my hands on 5 of them to make a few swatches.
